At night
this place turns into a cat battlefield, their scary meowing fills up a
labyrinth of corridors of STIP. And the place is taken over by cadets, too. Mostly
senior cadets who finally, after dusk and without officers' supervision, can
punish juniors how they want and for what they want. Common names for
punishments are ‘propeller’, ‘torpedo’ or ‘anchor’, you can imagine what they
mean. Junior cadets explain that this violent practice as a part of school
tradition and that makes them stronger. Not to mention that the school was
charged for hazing in 2010.
A mess called locally Wisraba
My usual sight at 12 and
6 pm, that is at lunch and dinner time
Waiting area
for cadets. From the stains on the wall you can guess how long they have to wait sometimes
And how about vegan food there? I mean at lunch/dinner place.. /g
ReplyDeleteWell, it's very good actually. Tempeh is originally from Indonesia and it's served in various ways, i.e. fried tempeh, in a sauce or even dried. Same with tofu. I was very surprised, in a good way of course! Veg and fruit are unbelievably cheap here, so that's what you call life! However sometimes food that is supposed to be vegan is fried in same pot with chicken, so you always need to make sure how the kicthen looks like:/
